Nicholas Joachimides RN, MN, NSWOC, WOCC(C)
My name is Nicholas Joachimides, I’ve been a Registered Nurse for 19 years. I’m a very proud Centennial College diploma graduate. I went back to complete my BSc.N at St. Francis Xavier, and continued my studies at the graduate level at Western in the Masters of Wound Healing. I completed a second masters in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at UofT. As well as a certificate in Infection Prevention and Control at Queens. I’ve completed an RNAO Advanced Clinical Practice Fellowship in Pediatric Pain Management.
I started my career in acute pediatrics at Scarborough General, and have spent 18 years at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation, as a Inpatient Nurse, Day Program Coordinator, Ambulatory Care Nurse, Clinical Educator, Manager of Patient Safety, and most recently Operations Manager on the Brain Injury Rehab Team. I’ve also worked 11 years part time as a Corrections Nurse in a Maximum Security Jail. My experience in continence management was during my time as Spinal Cord Injury/Spina Bifida Nurse, and as a Clinical Educator on a busy orthopedic rehab unit .
Originally from Montreal , I’m a huge fan of the Montreal Canadiens, and still dream of playing in the NHL. In my spare time I enjoy going to concerts and playing hockey as much as possible. I can be reached at njoachimides@wocinstitute.ca
